Garden Kitchen FAQs
-
Yes, we have vegetarian dishes on our menus which can also be made vegan. We can also make a number of our dishes suitable for gluten free customers.
If you do have any dietary requirements please do speak to a member of our staff who will be more than happy to discuss the options available to you.
While we have various options on the menu we would always advise you book ahead and notify us of your dietary requirements at the time of booking.
-
Yes, we’re a dog-friendly cafe, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Please keep your dog on a lead at all times, off the seating, and away from other customers’ tables. Not all our guests share the same love for our four-legged friends.
-
There is ample car parking available in The Mill Garden Centre car park.
-
You can book a table by either completing our booking form or calling the café directly.
As we have limited seating available we would always recommend that you book if you know you are coming for breakfast or lunch.
Tables are allocated for 1 hour 15 minutes. If you’d like to stay longer, please let us know when booking and we’ll always do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability.
Please note we do not take bookings for coffee and cake.
-
Our last orders for food are at 14:45. The café remains open until 16:00 for coffee and cake.
-
The cafe is wheelchair accessible with the path leading to the cafe and the cafe itself being completely flat. There is just a small lip on the doorway to the café.
If you are wanting to visit us and you have a wheelchair we would always recommend letting us know in advance when booking.
As we are a tight space we reserve tables at the front of the café to ensure that you and other customers can always get in and out even if we are full.
-
Our toilets are situated in the garden centre and they are wheelchair accessible.
-
The garden centre and café have flat surfaces which are suitable for buggies however we are a small/ tight space and can not always guarantee that there will be space for you to bring a buggy or pram directly into the cafe.
If you are coming with small babies it is best to bring them in a detachable car seat so the buggy can be left outside the doors of the café.
If this is not possible and you will have a buggy/pram with you we ask that you please let us know in advance so that we can ensure a table with space at the front of the café is available when possible.
We also have high chairs and kids menus for littles.
-
There are baby changing facilities in the Garden centre toilets.
-
We have a small seasonal and freshly prepared menu which includes artisan bloomer toasties and authentic flatbread wraps as well as homemade seasonal soup and our signature Cullen Skink which is always available.
Daily specials are always available for those looking for a slightly larger meal.
We always have our home baked scones, freshly baked each morning available with clotted cream and jam as well as a selection of traybakes and loafs.
